Find Union Recent Arrests

An arrest in Union can leave a paper trail in more than one office. Union recent arrests start at the city level. Union Police keeps the incident or arrest report its officers write. The person may go to county jail. If so, Franklin County opens a separate booking and custody record. Who was arrested in Union? A careful search follows both paths. The court file closes the loop, since it shows how the case ended.

How Union Arrests Work

The Union Police Department polices the city. Its officers write the report whenever they investigate an incident or make an arrest in Union. The arresting agency is not always the holding agency. When a person is booked into county custody, the Franklin County Adult Detention Facility holds the intake, custody and bond record, release details, and any releasable booking photo.

That split matters more in Union than in most towns. Union is the Franklin County seat, and the county jail and Circuit Court sit in the same city. Sharing a name does not merge their records. A Union Police arrest report describes the city event. A county booking record documents jail intake. A court docket tracks a filed case and its disposition, the result reached in court.

Where Union Arrests Appear

Union Police publishes no online arrest roster or daily blotter. That is about the web, not the filing cabinets. The department keeps records all the same. Skip unofficial pages posing as Union arrest feeds, and use the official contact and request channels instead.

ChannelWhat it coversPhoto?Status and access

The Highway Patrol search will not fill that gap. It leaves out arrests other agencies investigated. The Missourian and private indexes also cannot confirm that someone is still held, so current custody rests with the jail or the responsible agency.

Find a Union Booking

Start with the type of event. It matters. A citation or summons can leave a police and court trail without a jail intake, while a custodial arrest adds a Franklin County booking. The absence of one record never disproves the other.

  1. Confirm the agency. Note whether Union Police, a county deputy, MSHP, or another agency made the arrest.
  2. Check county custody. Call Franklin County detention/booking at (636) 582-8600 and ask whether the named person is currently held.
  3. Request the city report. Give Union Police the name, approximate date, location, and any case number.
  4. Check the court trail. Search Case.net for a Franklin County filing, then ask the clerk about time-sensitive changes.
  5. Use the right later system. A person sentenced to state custody belongs in the Missouri DOC search, not a county booking check.

Time fields deserve their own labels. Arrest time is when the officer acted. Booking time marks jail intake. Publication time is when a system posted the data. Release time and court date describe later stages, so none of these should be guessed from another.

For a wider view, the Franklin County recent-arrests hub separates the county record, booking photo, custody call, and court outcome.

Note: Verify custody by phone, because an old docket or private record cannot show that someone still sits in the Franklin County jail.

Union Arrest Log Policy

Union's open-meetings and records policy offers a path even without a public web blotter. It names the incident, investigation, and arrest records. Under that policy, incident and arrest reports are open records under Missouri law and its exceptions.

The policy handles a daily log conditionally. If Union Police keeps a log of suspected crimes, accidents, or complaints, the public may inspect basic facts about the time, substance, and location of the matter. That wording is not proof of a searchable online log. It does support a focused request. Ask whether a daily log exists, then seek its open fields for a set date.

The Union records policy also mirrors Missouri's rule on timing. An arrest report may close when the arrested person is not charged within 30 days, apart from the statutory disposition portion and exceptions. Closure is not deletion. It changes what the office can release. It does not erase the event.

The official Union Police page displays department contact details and shows how records requests are routed. That is the city source to use.

Request Union Arrest Records

Keep the request narrow and name the custodian. Ask Union Police for its arrest or incident report. Ask Franklin County for the jail booking report, release entry, or any releasable booking photograph. A broad request sent to just one office can miss what the other holds.

  1. State the subject’s full name and approximate arrest date.
  2. Name Union Police as the arresting agency when known.
  3. Describe the exact record, such as the arrest report or daily-log entry.
  4. For jail material, send a separate request to the sheriff records custodian at fcsorecords@franklinmo.gov.
  5. Ask for electronic copies and for open portions to be separated from closed portions.

Union Arrest Custody Stages

Booked, held, released, and sentenced mark different stages. A person just arrested may still be in agency processing. Someone booked at the Franklin County Adult Detention Facility is in county custody. A released person can vanish from a current custody check. The police, booking, and court records all remain.

The county detention page warns that court information does not reach Case.net right away. Waiting on a docket is a mistake. For a bond change or expected release, call the Circuit Clerk criminal department at (636) 583-7365 or the detention facility. An unchanged docket is not the final word.

Union Mugshots and Arrest Photos

Union publishes no official booking-photo page. Franklin County has no confirmed public photo roster either. For a mugshot, the office holding the record is the right place to ask. The county custodian may keep a booking image from jail intake. Union Police may hold its own agency photo. Release is not guaranteed by either office.

A private page can fill a gap, but only partly. The Arre.st Franklin page is privately run and disclaims accuracy and timeliness, so official sources should always come first. Continued display of a photo on any private or editorial site is not proof of present custody.

Note: Union has no current official mugshot gallery, and a photo should never be inferred from an arrest report or court filing alone.

Union Arrest News Context

For background on an arrest in Union, turn to local news. The Missourian News section reports on Union and the rest of Franklin County. A story can fill in details a roster leaves out. That might mean the warrant behind a booking. Or it could be a court filing, or how a case ended. News coverage is not a live custody source, though. Check the article date first. Then confirm the arrest with the agency or court named in the story. Search terms carry their own trap. A query for "Franklin County" can pull counties in other states. "Washington" is worse. It often points to Washington County rather than the city in Franklin County. Before trusting any result, confirm Missouri, Franklin County, Union, the agency, and the record date.
